BENEFICIARY
The AIWM annual charity event is back! Besides doing good through fundraising, our charity event also provides a platform for our member firms (and their clients, family and friends) to bond and community build over wellness and fun.
Building on last year’s successful edition which saw participation from 17 teams across 9 member firms and 2 individuals over a bowling tournament, this year’s charity event is set to happen on 4th October 2024, Children’s Day, where we seek to raise S$40,000 over a game of Pickleball! The fundraising will support Marymount Centre*.
Ever wondered why Pickleball is the fastest growing sport on the planet? It’s because it is so easy to pick up yet so difficult to master, making it a great community-building game for an inclusive community like ours!
Together, we are looking for 16 teams of 5 players per team, to raise funds of at least S$2,500 per team, and launch our inaugural yet friendly AIWM Charity Pickleball Tournament, with a three-fold objective:
- Raise awareness for the children in care in Singapore.
- Raise funds for the Marymount Centre’s residential homes for children under the Ahuva
- Good Shepherd umbrella and a crisis centre.
Provide an opportunity for your firm and the Association for team-building via a new accessible & exciting sport!
3 top prizes are up for grab for the top 3 winning teams!

About Marymount Centre*
Marymount Centre reaches out to vulnerable women and children through three 24-hour residential homes for children, namely Ahuva Good Shepherd – Children’s Home, Ahuva Good Shepherd – Interim Placement and Assessment Centre, Ahuva Good Shepherd – Small Group Care; Good Shepherd Centre, which is a 24-hour crisis shelter for abused women and their children; and a school-based student care centre, Good Shepherd Student Care.
We are committed to our mission to reach out with compassion and respect to our women and children who are experiencing injustices or problems that are too heavy for them to face alone. We will journey with them in the healing of their personhood and empower them to rebuild their lives, so that they can restore their sense of dignity and worth.
