What is your Singapore Dream? Singapore’s Budget 2024 aimed to provide assurance to Singaporeans at various critical stages of their life journeys to achieve their Singapore Dream. At AIWM Singapore, our Singapore Dream is to enable our members to uphold Singapore as the choice wealth management hub so our clients and their families can pursue their dreams too. 

As AIWM Singapore’s shared future depends on our members progressing together, we held an inaugural roundtable discussion on February 20th, 2024 with the Business Owners & CEOs of Ordinary member firms to exchange ideas and perspectives on reshaping the future of independent wealth management and how AIWM Singapore can continue to stay relevant amid an increasingly complex and volatile environment. Our “Advancing Together” blueprint was developed through engagement with the representatives from over 20 Ordinary member firms. This is just the first instalment of our Advancing Together programme and we plan to schedule another in the 2nd half of the year to further finetune our blueprint for the next decade.

Continuous learning and training is at the core of AIWM Singapore’s mission. The much-anticipated AIWM Regulatory & Compliance Update workshops returned on February 28th, 2024 at KPMG Clubhouse. Special thanks to KPMG Singapore, our venue sponsor and Zedra Fund Services for sharing valuable insights on the latest regulatory & compliance updates surrounding business continuity, AML for external fund managers as well as navigating the challenges when onboarding or switching fund and trust administration.  

As in previous years, we will continue to build our members’ capabilities to provide the highest standards of wealth stewardship to their clients. The AIWM Professional Excellence education workshops, which supports the continuous learning and training needs of our members, have been enhanced to become a full-day session instead. The ball is now in the court of Associate member firms to take advantage of this platform and showcase your subject matter expertise to the wider AIWM community. We will continue to play a vital and proactive role in growing Singapore’s independent wealth sector.
