Singapore, 27 September 2024 – The Association of Independent Wealth Managers (AIWM) Singapore held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 26 September 2024, where the members officially welcomed the newly elected committee for the 2024 to 2026 term. The committee, compose of esteemed professionals from AIWM’s Ordinary member firms, will serve a two-year term and continue to steer the association in its mission to champion best industry practices and advocate the interests of independent wealth managers in Singapore.

AIWM Singapore, representing over 80 active member firms that include External Asset Managers (EAMs), Family Offices, banks, and service providers, remains the leading industry advocate for independent wealth managers. The association actively fosters collaboration among industry peers, promotes continuous education and training, and strengthens the visibility and reputation of Singapore’s independent wealth managers, who are regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). These independent wealth managers range from independent wealth management firms to family offices and contribute to the robust financial ecosystem in Singapore.

The newly elected committee members who will guide AIWM for the next two years are:

    2. Gary Cheo, CEO at Avallis Investments Pte Ltd
    3. Jolene Tan, Managing Partner at SingAlliance Pte Ltd
    4. Joyce Woo, CEO at Leo Wealth Singapore Pte Ltd
    5. Lynn Lin, CEO at Reed Capital Partners Pte Ltd
    6. Matteo Devecchi, CFO at Mindful Wealth Pte Ltd

These professionals bring a wealth of experience and dedication to their roles, and their leadership will be instrumental in driving AIWM’s strategic initiatives forward. AIWM Singapore is committed to promoting dialogue and engagement between regulators and various stakeholders, furthering the development of the independent wealth management sector.

Welcoming the new committee and continuing a second term as President of AIWM Singapore, Ms Jolene Tan said: “We wish to welcome the new office bearers of AIWM Singapore. We are confident that the new committee is well-placed to steer the association towards sustained success, building on the past successes by the previous committee. We will continue to work closely together to enhance the visibility of the independent wealth management model and promote the concept of open architecture in wealth management, thereby providing truly holistic and customer-centric wealth solutions for clients.”
