Greetings and a warm welcome to 2024!
May the New Year bring you good health, abundance of happiness, prosperity and success!

2023 had been an eventful year – marked with recovery and boom; banking crisis, AML crime busts, war, heightened travels, market rally and so forth – and closer to us, new trends in wealth management, succession wave, family office evolution and consolidations.

Entering into my 14th year as an independent wealth manager, I’ve witnessed how the industry landscape has changed over the years, how business models have evolved and how clients are becoming more sophisticated with increasing diverse needs. The Association has also grown beyond just a representative voice. Against an ever-growing complexity of regulations & compliance, our stewardship role to foster the growth and development of the independent wealth management/family office industry in Singapore is critical.

As the new year unfolds before us with boundless opportunities and challenges, let us forge ahead and navigate this journey together – strengthen AIWM’s purpose & our common goals with professionalism and integrity:

Upskilling – practitioners with capability and capacity building

Uplifting – the independent wealth management and family office community

Upholding – the highest standards of excellence in Singapore

Last year, the Association undergone some changes and refreshed our image to increase visibility of the AIMW brand & profile as well as our members (where we spotlight on ‘you’). We enhanced our regulatory/compliance & educational events with a wider scope and variety, introduced thought provoking C-suite dialogues and we’re no short of networking events where we engaged & bonded among members. Our heartfelt thanks to all sponsors for your ongoing support!

In 2024, we will continue to increase our visibility and outreach (stay tuned to our collaboration with Finews), increase engagements and partnerships, provide valuable resources and continue to foster stronger connections within our community. It is through collaborations that we can truly make a meaningful impact within the ecosystem – the uniqueness of independent wealth management.

Thank you for being a valued part of our thriving AIWM community. As we grow, your ideas, your feedback, and your suggestions are important and invaluable to us so we could strive to continue to increase, innovate and enhance the quality & quantity of resources, benefits & value to our members.

Lastly, I look forward to seeing everyone at our 1st auspicious networking event of 2024 – CNY dinner on 25th January (Jade, The Fullerton Hotel), where we lohei and ring in celebration of the Year of the Wood Dragon!
